Live video coverage of the Motorshow in Geneva on Autoblog.it

Autoblog.it, a leading European blog specialising in the car industry, which according to Nielsen had 770,000 single visitors during the month of January 2007, will host live news and event videos directly from the the show

Milan, March 1, 2007
– Following the success and popularity obtained during the last two shows, Autoblog will again be at the most important European Motorshow in Geneva this year to bring the news live to those who can follow the event online.

There will be a team of four - two bloggers, a photographer and a video operator – who will, for the first time, cover the press days with live-blogging on March 6 & 7.

The videos will include clips of the main news from the show and a commentary at the end of the day which will summarise the overall impressions and opinions of the day.  This all represents a new way of communicating via the Italian Web using the immediate blogging mechanism.

This kind of communication puts Autoblog.it at the forefront of convergence between the Internet and TV for the motoring world. Autoblog.it is following in the footsteps of its sister blog in the USA, Autoblog.com, whose excellent coverage of the Detroit motorshow was used by the British BBC website.

The main sponsor for this event is Alfa Romeo, who will make a Spider available for use during the show, while the technical sponsor is the Caravan and Camper magazine who are providing a vehicle for the blogging crew to use as a base.
